Everett Jackson supports himself on a metal line as he stands supported by his brothers Roland, and William (1889-1981), in their back yard located at 228 E. Kiowa Street in Colorado Springs (El Paso County), Colorado. His younger brother, Gardner, stands nearby. The boys wear sailor suits with over sized berets.

William Sharpless Jackson was born (1836) and raised in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He served as an apprentice in the machinist trade in Wilmington, Delaware. For the next six years, he engaged in the lumber trade and car industry. Afterwards William S. Jackson worked for the Lake Superior and Mississippi Railroad Company in Duluth.
